Cardiac Catheterization - Is an invasive test where dye is shot through a catheter that is threaded into the femoral artery, in the groin, up in the outlet of the heart.  This dye is shot into the chambers as well as the coronary arteries. This gives the doctor an idea of how narrow the arteries are and how well the heart muscle functions.
Cardiac Stress Test
Exercise test with electrocardiogram monitoring performed while the patient walks at an increasing pace and incline while on a conventional treadmill.
Coronary Angiogram
This is the actual injection on dye directly into the coronary arteries to visualize narrowing or blockages.  A balloon on the end of the catheter can be inflated to flatten the narrowing.
Electro-cardiogram (ECG)
This is the recording of activity pathways and electrical impulses generated by the heart own "battery cells"
